For more than 25 years, Community Futures offices have been helping rural Albertans build successful businesses. They offer training and support to small businesses, by providing planning and funding services.
Business link has the tools to make your business idea a reality, and connect you with the most relevant small business resources to help bring your idea to life. Business Link helps with advice and research, training, aboriginal business development, and offers several other business tools and services.
BDC is the only bank devoted exclusively to entrepreneurs. They offer financing, venture capital, growth & transition capital and consulting services.
Futurpreneur is a national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Our internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,800 volunteer mentors.
This program is designed to help our economy’s rebound by giving local businesses a leg up as they start to reopen and change their way of doing business.
Marketing Grant Program has two components:
- A full marketing grant program to select businesses in the hardest hit sectors of our economy, including, but not limited to the restaurant, tourism and hospitality sectors.
- A match program whereby local businesses can apply for matching media investments from $500 to $15,000 to complement their new programs. Grants ranging from $500-$15,000 per month per client are available for the months of June, July and August 2020.
Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enabling women to build successful businesses. AWE provides unique programs and services to women at all stages of business through advising, financing, mentoring, and skills and network development.
Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) is a provincial Crown corporation with a private sector Board of Directors that provides farmers, agribusinesses and other small businesses loans, crop insurance and farm income disaster assistance.
Farm Credit Canada is Canada’s largest agricultural term lender. This organization’s purpose is to enhance rural Canada by providing specialized and personalized financial services to farming operations, including family farms. They also offer free educational training and webinars.
Alberta Agriculture and Forestry have created a list of programs and services to assist agri-processing companies to locate funding programs, services and supports. This information will help grow your agri-processing business.
